Volunteer – Be a Hero
CCHC operates thanks to the commitment of over 350 volunteers. Our unique safety-net healthcare system runs on volunteer energy. Volunteers provide ongoing patient care as well as medical, administrative, translation, marketing and fundraising services. We have opportunities that require regular time commitments and some that are open for your schedule. We also have team opportunities for special events and projects. Without volunteers, we would not be able to provide the level of care or see the numbers of patients we have now. Our volunteers are our heroes.

Medical Faith Communities
CCHC has implemented a Medical Faith Community Program, a partnership with faith communities to staff the clinic one night a month. Five faith communities (St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Myers Park United Methodist Church, Providence United Methodist Church, Covenant Presbyterian Church and Christ Episcopal Church) currently participate. Additional Medical Faith Community Teams mean more people are able to see a doctor more quickly, and with more quality care than is often provided when a person is forced to seek emergency care.

CCHC is expanding this program to include other faith communities and partnerships. If your faith community, organization or office is available to volunteer as a team, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Laura Allen – laura.allen@novanthealth.org.
