Volunteer – Be a Hero
CCHC operates thanks to the commitment of over 350 volunteers. Our unique safety-net healthcare system runs on volunteer energy. Volunteers provide ongoing patient care as well as medical, administrative, translation, marketing and fundraising services. We have opportunities that require regular time commitments and some that are open for your schedule. Without volunteers, we would not be able to provide the level of care or see the numbers of patients we have now. Our volunteers are our heroes.

Medical Ministries
CCHC has implemented a Medical Ministry Program, a partnership with community churches to staff the clinic one night a month. Five community churches (St. Gabriel’s Catholic, Myers Park United Methodist, Providence United Methodist, Covenant Presbyterian and Christ Episcopal) currently participate. Additional Medical Ministry Teams mean more people are able to see a doctor more quickly, and with more quality care than is often provided when a person is forced to seek emergency care.
