Action Alert – Funding Cliff

The Community Health Center Program faces a 70% loss of federal funding on September 30, 2017

When you’re sick or hurt, the first thing you need is a doctor.

And the first place many North Carolinians go is to their local Community Health Center. NC CHC’s will care for anyone who walks in the door, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. They have comprehensive primary care and many connected services, like behavioral health, dental care, and even help people with issues that might affect their health like nutrition, transportation or homelessness.

In some areas, CHCs are the only option. But if Congress doesn’t act to fix the Funding Cliff by September 30th, up to 115,000 of North Carolina’s most vulnerable people could lose access to care through our Community Health Centers. Click here to ask your representatives to fix the cliff, now!

Thank you for your work to ensure that all North Carolinians have a medical home in our Community Health Centers.
